As with story after story in the Bible, we can relate what happens in the Bible to what happens in our lives. We don’t all go on boat rides and worry about the boats capsizing due to giant waves and torrential gusts of wind. But I’d love to meet an adult that hasn’t gone through personal storms of that type of magnitude.
When life pushes you to the limits, who do you turn to? Who can you reach to when no one else is around? Who is your calming influence? The Good Lord can, and will, be there for you. And if you have faith, you’ll be certain that you’ll make it through every storm you face.
He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. (30) Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. (Psalm 107: 29-30)
He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. (30) They were glad when it grew calm, and he guided them to their desired haven. (Psalm 107: 29-30)
