A wise man once had shared a thought
And didn’t charge a dime.
He whispered something he’d been taught.
It saved me pain and time.
He said, “This stays between us two.
I’m counting on your word.”
Then he said the wisest thing
That I had ever heard.
Wise People – Revisited
A wise man walked into a park
With lions at his side.
He looked at me and then explained,
“I’ve always got my pride.”
Instruct the wisest people
And watch their wisdom grow.
The wisest keep on learning—
There’s always more to know.
A wise, young lady told me,
When I was still a boy,
If I were kind I’d bless the world
And fill it up with joy.
I asked how I could do it.
She said, “That’s up to you.
But, if you’re smart, you’ll be kind
With everything you do.”
The wisest of people exemplify tact
By setting examples with ways that they act.
Wisdom: Happy and Prudent
Happy is the man that finds wisdom, and the man that gets understanding. (Proverbs 3: 13)
I, wisdom, dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. (Proverbs 8: 12)
