Saturday (Unedited)

It's not football season, but Saturday's great.

No college teams playing. No Michigan State.

The Red Wings have playoffs. The Pistons do too.

The Tigers keep winning - so nothing is new.

That's not why I'm happy, my smile spreading wide.

Life couldn't be better with God on my side.

He's got to be there, I'm not filled with pride.

I'm thankful to Jesus who came down and died.

For that we get stuck all in one boat.

It's big and it's sturdy and able to float.

With God at the helm and us as His crew,

The world's perfect order comes into our view.

Is it plain to you? Is life making sense?

Yes life gets crazy; sometimes it feels tense.

It's all in the plan; it's how it must be.

People get crazy because they are free.

No robots were built; the Lord is too smart.

We'll go up to heaven if God's in our heart.

If loving of others is first on our mind,

Then self-centered love is somewhere behind.

If that's the case, we're good to go.

Our animal instincts have fallen below.

Our spiritual minds continually mold

Creating a being more precious than gold.

Keep open to God and ask for His lead

Then you'll be alright, that's guaranteed.
