The Bible is full of rich stories that are so valuable and fun for children to grow up with. This is why I think it's important to develop children's Bible stories -- that is, Bible stories specifically developed in a way that kids will enjoy them -- and to provide them both as quality hardcovers and as free Bible downloads.
The first book in the BibleRhymes series is of the creation story. In a cheerful and scripturally accurate manner, the seven days of creation are told in rhythmic verse. To attract even the youngest eyes, each page is a full-page, brightly colored painting. The wording in the poetry allows for the story to be easily understood and enjoyed by a variety of ages.
The second book in the series tells of the miracle of Noah and his family surviving the Bibllical flood. With faith intact and the grace of God as his savior Noah succeeded against all odds. And with the rhymes and fabulous artwork that will accompany each book in the BibleRhymes series, Noah's story is told.
The third book in the BibleRhymes series tells of the epic battle of David and Goliath. The innocent youth standing up against the treacherous giant. David didn't put his trust in armor when he faced his mighty foe, he put his trust in the Lord. And when BibleRhymes releases its third book (expected in the second half of 2008) it will allow children to happily learn the story of David with an inspiring, rhythmic verse.
The fourth book in the BibleRhymes series tells of the ever-popular Christmas story. The birth of Jesus is respectfully celebrated with pictures and rhymes that will remain in minds for years to come. From angel filled dreams to Mary and Joseph looking for room at the inn to wise-men traveling with their camels ... the Bible story comes to life in such an enjoyable manner! This book will be available in the fall of 2008.
In fact, as the BibleRhymes series continues, we'll grow a collection of the most popular and important Bible stories for children. Together, they'll form sort of a simple "Children's Bible," giving them an experience of the Bible that they'll remember for the rest of their lives and encouraging them to dig in deeper as they get older.
Of course with free digital versions planned for each book in the series, we'll end up with a collection of free Bible ebooks available to children everywhere!
